Why Smucker Harness?

Smucker Harness Company is a third-generation family business founded in 1962. They produce the finest hand-crafted carriage horse harness money can buy. All harnesses are produced with vegetable-tanned leather from Wickett & Craig. The workmanship of Smucker driving harnesses are well-appreciated in the show ring!  Our personal horse show harness is a Smucker Super Deluxe harness, and is consistently a Turnout winner and scores high in Presentation!

Smucker single breast collar style harnesses are listed here, but full collar harnesses as well as multiples harnesses (pairs, tandems, four-in-hands) are available as well. WE CAN ALSO ORDER SMUCKER HARNESS PARTS.

On all hame style harnesses, the collars are priced separately. Monograms are also priced separately. All Smucker driving harnesses are available in: Miniature, Small Pony, Medium Pony, Large Pony, Cob, Horse, Oversize, Draft and Large Draft. Custom sizes are also available.

What is the Process to Order a Smucker Harness?

As of 2023, we charge the full price of the harness up front. This saves us having to bill you later for the 2nd half of the harness.
The completed Measurement Chart is required to place your order with the harness maker. Please submit either via email or USPS. Measurements will NOT be accepted via text or Messenger.

1/1/23 - Turnaround time for a complete Smucker harness has been running about 12 weeks. Please plan ahead with your orders and have patience once they have been ordered.
